The Sofia Regional Health Insurance Institute has published an official statement reminding that Regulation (EU) 2025/877 is mandatory for application on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. According to it, from September 1, 2025, the placing on the market, sale and use of products with TPO, including quantities available in the retail network, beauty salons and cosmetic studios, is prohibited.

This means that salons are not allowed to use gel polishes containing TPO after September 1, 2025.
